Miso Brown Butter Pasta | Jen Phanomrat

INGREDIENTS

6 oz spaghetti
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp red miso paste
1 shallot, thinly sliced
¼ cup parmesan, grated
Chopped parsley to taste
Salt & pepper to taste

RECIPE

Cook spaghetti to al dente, according to package instructions. When cooked, reserve a cup of the pasta water and drain.

  1. I just made this. It's really nice and creamy, and the miso takes on a whole new flavour because of the onions and the butter and parmesan. It's plenty salt though so I wouldn't add any extra

  2. Looks yummy. What section of the grocery store do i find miso paste? And what kinda flavor is miso paste? I have never had it but it looks inviting enough to make quite a few different dishes.
